My career as a comics artist and writer grew out of a life-long love of the comics I read as a kid growing up in the Seventies.

But it wasn’t until I read WATCHMEN that I realized that comics weren't just silly superhero stories for kids.

I began to see what Alan Moore must have seen - that comics had lain dormant in infancy for too long and it was time for them to grow up a little - but never at the expense of story, character or raw entertainment.

His work has not only inspired me, but continually surprises me - he never does the same thing twice.

He's the greatest writer this medium can boast, and that's saying so very much.
