Leah Moore is a relatively newcomer in the comics biz debuting in 2002 with a short story contained in Tom Strong Terrific Tales #5.
Daughter of comics writer legend Alan Moore, she is currently co-writing the acclaimed miniseries Wild Girl (Wildstorm/DC) and at work on a special project, titled Albion , scheduled for this summer release.

smoky man: Can you introduce yourself to the Italian readers?

Leah Moore: Certainly, my name is Leah Moore, I was born in Northampton England in 1978, I began writing comics a couple of years ago, and I am now co-writing my second series with my husband John.

sm: Before breaking into comics, which was your previous occupation? It's just a curiosity...

LM: I was a part time box-office assistant, and barmaid in a theatre, before that I was a student.
sm: Talking about comics, which are you influences?
And which comic do you currently read or what kind of story do you prefer?

LM: I would say my influences range from the Asterix and Tin-tin which I read as a kid, to Love&Rockets that I loved especially as a teenager and the quality comics that are out these days.
I enjoy things like The Goon and Hellboy, and the new Swamp Thing is excellent!
It's really regained some of the grisly 'horror comic' detail it had originally.

sm: Your first story was a short published in Tom Strong Terrific Tales #5. [It was pretty brilliant, congrats.]
